County Heat Week 1 Review

 I honestly thought I was not going to like Country Heat at the beginning.  For one I have always been a hardcore fitness program doer.  I like to go insane with Insanity to Insanity: The Asylum to P90x.  Also, in my mentality I never thought I would get great results from it from just dancing. 
But I have to say I have sweated more doing Country Heat than running five miles.  Autumn Calabrese did awesome by creating this program because anybody can do it.

And what I mean anybody, I mean ANYBODY!!!! I am not the best dancer, I sometimes don't know how to TWO STEPS, but Autumn breaks it down for you in the Breakdown part of each Routine.  The program comes with five routines and extra bonuses. 
The first week you do two of the five. The first routine is called Country Swing, and ladies or fellas this is definitely a fun way to burn calories and get great results.

The Second Routine is called Giddy Up.   Giddy Up is even more fun than Country Swing.  You burn even more calories in this because you are really bumping your heart and having fun.  I know I did and I was sweating and burning calories like crazy.  In this routine you are working your legs and your glutes with Scuff Squats and Saddle Jumps with awesome country songs like "Fake ID".

Country Heat is Here!

Country Heat is finally here! How cool is that!

Run For The Paws 10k

 
Run for The Paws was a race for one of the largest charitable race in South Florida. It was created to benefit dogs and cats in need. All the proceed (100%) from the race went to the Tri-County Animal Rescue located in Boca Raton, Florida. This animal rescue is a No-Kill Shelter.

I was amazed how this race was organized, and I loved every part of it. It started real early at 6:30 am, and in every race or event is recommended to at least arrive a hour earlier. As soon as I arrived they had parking waiting and easy to access. And Check In was a breeze. Since it went so fast I had a hour to kill. I stretched, went back to the car, walked around. And then they announced to welcome us to their First Annual Race. And sang the National Anthem. And then 3....2....1....GO!!!!

We were off. We ran from Brickhouse Gym to El Rio Trail where you can spot turtles, iguanas, owls and other wildlife back to Brickhouse Gym. The event also had well organized water spots. Very important to stay hydrated. I always emphasize this, because I once fainted from not properly hydrating(true story). I have to admit my 10k wasn't that easy because I had a bad cough, but that didn't stop me and I actually did good in timing. Race went on and we arrived to receive our medal for accomplishment. How do people especially Athlete stay hydrated for a race. Whether is a 5k,10k, Half Marathon or Marathon. Many people think that just drinking water is enough. Warrior Dash Experience

My Warrior Dash Experience


Warrior Dash has been one of the coldest, yet fun Mudrun experience I had so far. I did not know what to expect, but I always have an open mind. The obstacles were not that hard, but it can be my training from P90x3 and Insanity Asylum that got me where my strength and endurance were on point for this race.

As we arrived everything was organize. Registration only took 5 minutes and my Bib had my name and time already. We walked around and took pictures. Warrior dash had great displays throughout the festivities.


My race was at 8:30am and it was the competitive wave. Reason I chose this race is because I want to see where I fall in with the best athletes and where I need to focus on my training.

At the start line they got us pumped, we were stretching, jumping and doing count downs.



As soon as we started the count down, everyone started running. I had a really great pace, enough to get me at the finish line fast.
As soon as we reached the lake I was afraid to go in. I can feel the ice piercing through my skin. Yeah! I over exaggerate....
But I started to panic, I swam, but I felt like I couldn't breath. I kept telling myself do not STOP! And I did not stop. When I reached land I stood there catching my breath. Trying to get my oxygen in. This is where people were starting to  pass me. 
As soon I got myself back I started to run again. I would pass obstacles after obstacles. I felt like a true warrior.


I completed all obstacles with barely any struggles. I know I was able to do this because I was following a great fitness program and nutritional plan.
My favorite obstacle was the last one. Who doesn't like to get down and dirty while crawling through mud?
I would sink in and slip, I was drenched in mud from head to toe by the time I got to receive my medal. 


Who knew this medal is also a bottle opener. I thought that was unique.

After my race I decided to run it again with the MudRunFun Group and my Friends. I think this is what makes OCRs fun, running it with friends and coaching them through each obstacle. Also just making new friends 



I always recommend people to look into OCRs. You will feel this accomplishment by the time you reach the finish line.
And who doesn't enjoy a beer at the end for FREE.

What I loved about Warrior Dash is not only did we get a medal and a Free shirt, they gave us warrior hats.


The best part of my experience is that I got to hang out with my friends and enjoy the festivities.

What is PIYO?

Coconut Oil has a lot of beauty and health benefits.  I came across coconut oil couple months ago when I was doing a 3 Day Refresh.  On my refresh it told us to use it for our vegetables.  And I have to say that tasted awesome. Then I started doing my research on this amazing oil. And started to use it for other things beside the kitchen.  I started using it for my teeth, for my hair, for my skin, even for my face.  And I have seen tremendous changes in all fields.

You can use coconut oil for just about anything.  And this amazing oil is also a natural antibiotic and can help protect you from stomach ulcers and some type of bacteria. 
Coconut oil can also lead to higher good cholesterol, improve insulin response to diabetics, and help with weightloss.

Let me start telling you about what great benefits it has on teeth!

Coconut Oil is my natural moisturizer for my skin.  Coconut oil heals and protects the skin.  I no longer use any moisturizer that says "good for skin" or anything that can really make my skin worst.  And at age 32 it is important to me to make sure my skin gets the best benefits.  To me is important to treat your body right.  Coconut oil can help protect the skin from the sun and can help to heal burns.  It protects and nourish your skin.
 


I even use coconut oil on my face as a moisturizer.  YES! I DO
People will think why would someone put oil on their face.  Well as I said above Coconut oil is a natural bacteria fighter, it protects you from the sun, so it actually helps with blemish and black heads.  I was skeptical to use it at first, but I said well if it get's worst in couple days I will discontinue the use.  Nope, it made a big difference.  Little by little my face got clearer.  my black heads slowly went away.

It all started back in March when I decided to join a Challenge Group.  I was a little skeptical of what I was getting into, but I was at a point in my life that I wanted that Mommy Pouch gone!
 
After having two babies and C section on both I could not find a way to get rid of that lower mid section in my stomach.  I had tried everything.  Hours in the Gym. Running till exhaustion.  Ridiculous diets of barely eating and then binge at night because I was starving.  Juice diets, cleansing diet etc.....
 
One night scrolling through Facebook, my friend posted a GREAT post of his transformation. So I contact him and asked him all about Beachbody.  Being a little scared that I had never met him, I wanted in. 
 
He asked me about my goals, my levels in fitness, my nutrition.  And he came up with three options.  As a busy mom of two, I decided on FOCUS T25 because it is a very effective program by the Amazing Shaun T that only takes 25 minutes out of your day, FIVE days out of the week.
 
When my Challenge Pack arrived I was SUPER excited to start, but had to wait till Monday to make the best of it.
 
My Coach added me to the Challenge Group and I was greeted by so many people.  These people are also doing challenges.  A sense of love and warmed ran through my veins.  I felt accepted and I was ready to give it my all.

I am not going to LIE it was hard at first.  Sweat would drip to the floor, I had to modify many of the moves. But as days passed I would nail the Work Outs.  My kids would join in with the FUN.  I never made them my EXCUSE not to, but my REASON!
 
Day 1
As I look back at my Day 1 picture I am so PROUD of myself and HAPPY that I DECIDED to COMMIT to the PROGRAM.
 
If you COMMIT and BELIEVE in yourself anything is POSSIBLE. I was able to get these results because my coach was there the whole time. My Challenge Group was there the whole time.  Motivating me, telling me I am doing a great job and vice versa.  You truly feel part of the family when you join a challenge group. You become best friends and part of a family.
 
Day 60
I MADE IT! I accomplished that many couldn't do.  And that is because I had the Support to FINISH.
 
  
Because of my transformation I decided to share my journey to help others.  Help them with their struggles.  Letting them know they are never alone and I will be there sweating with them all the way.
