Run For The Paws 10k

Run for The Paws was a race for one of the largest charitable race in South Florida. It was created to benefit dogs and cats in need. All the proceed (100%) from the race went to the Tri-County Animal Rescue located in Boca Raton, Florida. This animal rescue is a No-Kill Shelter.

I was amazed how this race was organized, and I loved every part of it. It started real early at 6:30 am, and in every race or event is recommended to at least arrive a hour earlier. As soon as I arrived they had parking waiting and easy to access. And Check In was a breeze. Since it went so fast I had a hour to kill. I stretched, went back to the car, walked around. And then they announced to welcome us to their First Annual Race. And sang the National Anthem. And then 3....2....1....GO!!!!
I stayed Hydrated through out the race.  Read my blog on Beachbody Performance Hydrate

We were off. We ran from Brickhouse Gym to El Rio Trail where you can spot turtles, iguanas, owls and other wildlife back to Brickhouse Gym. The event also had well organized water spots. Very important to stay hydrated. I always emphasize this, because I once fainted from not properly hydrating(true story). I have to admit my 10k wasn't that easy because I had a bad cough, but that didn't stop me and I actually did good in timing. Race went on and we arrived to receive our medal for accomplishment. And if you ever received a medal from a race you wear it with Pride.

The event also had a raffle to win Free stuff, many people won $25 gift card. I really enjoyed this race and I met pretty cool people. Plus their gym looks like a Badass Gym.

I recommend to sign up to their next event on January 22, 2017. All proceeds goes to the Tri County Animal Resuce and you are helping to save a life.
